Take time out of your busy schedule to treat yourself to food.com’s DIY’s Cucumber Avocado Facial Cooling Mask:
· 1/2 cup chopped cucumber
· 1/2 cup chopped avocado
· 1 egg white
· 2 teaspoons powdered milk
Directions:
1) Combine all the ingredients in a blender and process until a smooth paste like consistency is obtained.
2) Apply the mask immediately if you are short on time or else you can refrigerate the mask and apply after 30 minutes. This is wonderful in summer months.
3) To apply, in circular upward motions, apply 2 tbsps. of this mixture on your face and neck.
4) Allow the mask to remain on your face for 30 minutes or until it dries up.
5) To remove it, wash your face and neck with warm water followed by cold water.
6) Pat dry with a clean soft towel.

After watching 127 hours, we, the ladies of 9th and Fontain searched for more information about Aron Ralston’s survival story. In this 2004 episode of “Dateline NBC,” Aron Ralston returns to the canyon with Tom Brokaw where he was forced to amputate his own arm after he had become trapped by a fallen boulder. This video illustrates human survival instincts and the appreciation of the basic means.

Costa Rica is known for there wonderful rainforests, coffee and …ECOTOURISM. The Bellavista Community is located in the South Pacific region of Costa Rica, overlooking the Golfo Dulce. As, “ecologically minded, adventurous individuals”, we adore this eco-enclave and the philosophy behind it. All of the homes within the community are required to “utilize a rainwater catch or spring water collection for water needs”, “tie into the community’s electrical grid, which will be powered by a hydroelectric turbine”, or “create electricity with an approved alternative energy source”, It is the perfect combination of dreaminess and green living . We hope to one day visit this amazingly, beautiful sustainable community in the trees.

Summer of 2010, we, the ladies of 9th and Fontain were invited to see Erykah Badu and Janelle Monae by one of our friends Ahmir (?uestlove). We had always expressed how much we enjoyed Erykah Badu’s music and philosophies on veganism, love, peace, harmony, the over all essence of her being. We wanted to make her something that represented us and our personal style. We decided on an extravagant gold bird cage filled with feathers, plants, flowers and a 9th and Fontain belly chain. The concert was amazing and our first, among many, meets with our muse was nothing other than fulfilling.
